So, as many of you know, Ray is not exactly what you would call a "morning person". So, you might want to know why we are planning to fly out of Reagan National the morning after our wedding at 6AM! Yes, 6AM. That means Nona's up by 3 getting ready and Ray's rolling out of bed around 4. The answer is...we will land in Cancun by 10. Accomodations
Once we land in Cancun, we'll be taking a one hour shuttle south to Aventura Spa Palace. This place is absolutely fabulous! They tell us 60% of the rooms are Ocean facing, but the rooms are assigned first come, first serve. That's another reason to take that early flight, right? The resort is located on 85 acres of wild tropical gardens and faces the Caribbean Sea. We will be welcomed to our room with petit fours, sparking wine, a double jacuzzi, plush bathrobes, and our own private balcony...hopefully facing the ocean. By the end of the week, we may be dried from the sun, weak from the walking, and pudgy from all the rich foods. How about sending over a light dinner to the room? We'll eat out on our balcony over-looking the Caribbean Sea and finish with fresh strawberries and cream.	2	$25	2
Excursions
Send us to Xcaret, which has been an important Mayan ceremonial center and seaport for centuries. Xcaret "Little Inlet" is a magnificent eco-archaeological park. There is an underground river that will carry us through a set of underground caverns. We will explore archaeological monuments and go swimming in the inlet. Next, we will go to the aviary and butterfly pavilion, and then to explore the aquarium. Finally, we will walk hand in hand in the botanical gardens and sip margaritas in the beach.	8	$25	8
Remember studying the Mayans and the Aztecs in sixth grade? Well, we're going for a tour of Mayan ruins, called Chichen Itza (Chee-chen-eatza). Located 2 1/2 hours from Cancun, Chichen Itza was the most important and advanced ceremonial and religious center in Mesoamerica. We will climb "The Castle" or "Temple of Kukulcan", an amazing 70 feet (10m) high pyramid and enjoy a buffet lunch. Help us go on this spectacular adventure.	4	$35	4
After a day of rest to recover from climbing that pyramid, we'll go to Visit Tulum, a fortified city, 65 miles south of Cancun. This archaeological site was the primary commercial port along the Mayan route. We'll take a walking tour and explore “The Castle”, on a cliff overlooking the Caribbean Sea. Next, we'll make a visit to Xpu-Ha and go snorkeling. Ray has tried snorkeling, but this will be Nona's first time. Help us make this day complete.	5	$40	0	1 2 3 4 5
Pampering
Treat Nona to a manicure and a pedicure in the Aventura Spa. They will pamper her with the royal treatment and luxury while she admires the breathtaking ocean view. This will give Ray a chance to find a wireless connection and get his fill of internet news.	2	$30	2

Nona has been dancing since she was just a kid. Ray is still a kid, who also loves dancing. Either way, it has taken some toll on our aging bodies. Give us the pleasure of a romantic massage for two to help us relax and put away the Advil.	5	$50	3	1 2
Just for fun
As most of you know, Nona is a "grazer". She eats snacks off and on all day to keep from getting light headed and cranky. After a Salsa Latin Workout, a walk on the Zen Labrynth, or an hour of yoga, we'll return to the room to relax in the jacuzzi. Treat us to a bottle of champagne and a bowl of berries. Then, we'll open the doors to the balcony and take a long afternoon nap with the breeze from the sea blowing across the room.	2	$20	2
Ray is the night owl and loves to stay out late, dancing and socializing. Several nights we will go to the disco and show the rest of the tourists what West Coast Swing Dance is. Ray, with his grace and charm will sweep Nona off her feet as he has done since the beginning. All the other women will envy her. Bless us with a midnight meal and a few delicious drinks.
